More from E.L. in the devastated Bahamas:
Here in The Bahamas, as everyone now knows, two of our islands were dealt crushing blows, one of them, Abaco, my children's island home, literally wiped out!
The relocation process, to the Nation's Capital, New Providence, has been sporadic. It was at this point, I willingly gave up my residence for some of the children and their families to make use of. It calls for a complete reorganization of their lives, and more so mine.
People have been very good to all of us. They have been provided with the basic necessities, and a place they call home.
I thank God that I am able to assist in this way. They are a resilient group, who have settled in very well. I am the richer, spiritually, for having responded in this way.
I'm now full time with my Sister Miriam. She continues to make slow, but steady progress as far as her health is concerned. Thanks to all of you who continue to hold her in prayer.
