Jo Cox MP

Yesterday the British Member of Parliament Jo Cox was shot and stabbed to death in her constituency where she was holding a surgery for constituents.

The motive for the killing is, as yet, unclear.

Please pray for Jo's husband, Brendan, their two small children and Jo's wider family and friends.

Jo is spoken highly of across the political spectrum, she was only elected last year and at the age of 41 had so much to give.

She was a campaigner and an activist and a friend to many, by all accounts a wonderful example of public service.

RIP Jo

The murder of an MP is an affront to us all.
Jo had been a dedicated worker for causes around the world before entering parliament.

:votive2: :votive2: :votive2: For her family and all others affected.

:votive2: :votive2: :votive2: For the investigation and for justice.

:votive2: :votive2: :votive2: her family, friends and those who loved her.

She was a reconciler, and a worker towards peace and fairness. Let her death, and the manner of her dying, not be used in a divisive way.

Kindness is underrated.

Such a very dedicated person to so many causes who gave her life serving others, she will be sadly missed the world over. My friends have informed me Jo has a very strong following in the U S and this incident has been leading news over there as well as here.

:votive2: :minicandle: :minicandle: for Jo's husband and two little boys who have lost the most precious person in their lives

:votive1: for all their family and friends who have to come to terms with this loss

:votive1: for all those people who were in the vicinity at the time ..feeling a sense of shock at such a near encounter and a sense of helplessness that they could not prevent it.

Lord be with them :votive1:
