Partaking in Eucharist at 7 Adventist Service?
Our college chapel was ecumenical but broadly Anglican, and we had a Baptist minister as chaplain for a few years, who would preside at eucharist services. The majority of the rest of the community were Anglicans, though there was a prominent Fellow in the life of the chapel who was URC. I don't rem...

Partaking in Eucharist at 7 Adventist Service?
Hello hopegrace :welcome: I don't know very much about 7th Day Adventists I'm afraid. There was no mention of communion in the description of worship on their official website. I don't know whether there's an 'official' policy by the Anglicans on this but if I was in your position, I think I would l...

Anglican views on the Eucharist
Hi Chris, Welcome! :welcome: As Pam says, you will find a wide range of views within the Anglican church, and there are Anglican churches at the high end which are difficult to distinguish from the RC church (I've been to Anglican services which have used the RC liturgies, including the mention of t...

That sounds lovely, I'm usually busy on Tuesday nights so can't come myself but I think it's a great idea.

A SIMPLE FAITH
Welcome to i-church Sabina.
That is a great quote. It's so simple, isn't it, but somehow we make it difficult.

I've moved around a lot too: I was born in Scotland and then we moved around the world before settling in London at the age of 8 or so. I'm still an Australian citizen. While I was at university my parents moved away from London, and my extended family is scattered around the country, with outposts ...

Does God intervene?
I'm not sure that the word 'can't' can be applied to God, surely for him nothing is impossible? And I agree with Pam that it is very difficult for us to understand how God sees the world. I think that although God is intimately involved with the processes of our world, he is not restricted by them a...

:welcome: Ken. Belonging to i-church is important to me too. I also live in a rural area, and i-church helps me feel connected to Christians around the country and the world. I think there is a freedom in online communications because people can't see what you look like, or how old you are. However ...

There's a prayer that some churches use when offering the collection to God
'All things come from you and of your own do we give you'.
Realising that our money and time is God's and not ours is difficult but probably helpful in our attitude to life.

Signs of Spring
Our cat is moulting: clouds of fur every time I stroke him, so it's definitely spring! He's had a lovely thick winter coat which is strange as he's largely an indoor cat so you wouldn't have thought the seasons would affect him, but perhaps it's related to day length rather than temperature.
